Back a couple of weeks ago, we reported on a rumor that claimed to reveal the specs of HTC’s upcoming phablet, the HTC One Max. Today, we bring word of a new HTC One Max leak report, one that follows along the same lines as the previous one, but with small differences. These new rumored HTC One Max specs (as well as the leaked picture that you can catch above) are reposted from Chinese website ePrice.
While the previous rumor claimed that the HTC One Max will feature a 6 inch SLCD panel that works at a fullHD resolution, the report from ePrice mentions that the HTC One Max will indeed use a fullHD SLCD panel, but one that measure 5.9 inches across the diagonal. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC remains consistent between these two reports (and this translates into a 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 300 CPU, an Adreno 325 GPU, and 2 GB of RAM), but the battery capacity reported by ePrice is now of 3,300 mAh, instead of the previously rumored 3,200 mAh one.
ePrice claims that the HTC One Max will come with 16GB of internal storage space (down from the 32GB/64GB options that were previously rumored), and also mentions that the HTC One Max will come with an Ultrapixel camera and a pair of stereo BoomSound speakers, both trademark features of the HTC One line-up of 2013.
Interestingly enough, ePrice claims that the HTC One Max will come with a microSD card slot, and this leads us to believe that the fellows from ePrice might have gotten their hands on a Chinese version of the HTC One Max, seing as the Chinese version featured a microSD card slot in China, but not so anywhere else in the world.
This new leak makes no mention of any sort of stylus support, but we’d be surprised to learn that HTC is trying to take on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 without such an essential feature. As always, thoughts and impressions should be shared in the comment section below!
